Speaking at the meeting, the Director General of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, Fred Bamwesigye, called on all stakeholders, including the media, to work together in supporting the growth and credibility of the aviation industry.

He also revealed that the authority plans to establish its own aviation training school to build local capacity and advance the sector.

“Aviation is a collective responsibility of all stakeholders, including the media, to communicate accurately and appropriately,” Bamwesigye said.

“I would also like to reveal that we have a plan to start an aviation school fully funded by UCAA to benefit all Ugandans.”

The authority said continued collaboration, investment in infrastructure and adoption of modern technologies will be key to sustaining growth while ensuring safety and security across Uganda’s aviation industry.
